Bring on the New Year
The kids are growing up so fast. Kirstyn gave us the best Christmas present and potty trained herself on Christmas Day. She went straight to underwear and hasn't had a problem. I can't believe my baby is no longer a baby. This will be a big year for Harrison. He turns twelve the end of May and will be going to junior high in the fall. He is also taking the ACT in February. It seems like just yesterday he was my little boy. Karate is going well for all of us. Ashlyn and I are both green belts now and working hard for our blue belts so we can be in the advanced class with Harrison. That will greatly cut down how much time we spend there. It has been so nice to be doing something to get into shape that we can also do as a family. We have Jacen going in to see a psychologist the end of March to see if there is more to his clothing aversion. I wish I knew how to help him. At least he will sometimes wear pajamas without much of a fight. It's a start. Caden is thriving in first grade. He has become quite the reader and is getting more responsible by the day. I have high hopes for this year. It should be a great one.
