December

This month was a busy one. It sure flew by quickly. The last week has been especially busy. My grandfather passed away on December 19. It was surprisingly hard on Ashlyn. We had the funeral on the 23rd. It was a beautiful service. I am so grateful I was able to attend.

On to Christmas. Since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year, we decided that Santa would come on Saturday. It was great. The kids had a blast with all their presents. Jacen was particularly excited. We then hosted Christmas lunch for Leon's family. We were able to enjoy some family time that evening. Christmas day started with church. It was a wonderful meeting full of music. I love being able to listen to Christmas music and enjoy the season. We then went to my parents house for Emmie's blessing and Christmas lunch. It was great to be with everyone. Josh was able to call and talk to everyone. That was fun. It is hard to believe that he will be home in less than four weeks.

Now we are down to less than four weeks until this little one makes her arrival. I cannot believe we are that close. I am looking forward to not being pregnant anymore, though I am not sure I am ready to tackle 5 kids. At least Ashlyn and Harrison are old enough to help out now. We are all getting excited to meet her.
