Captain Underpants
Harrison has found a new favorite book. He loves the Captain Underpants books. I had no idea how much he loves them until I got him the boxed set, which includes all 8 of the books. He got them on Monday and read all through his recesses that day. Then he read when he got home. He read every chance he could get on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I'm certain he would have kept reading Friday, but he had finished all 8 books. That's right, all 8. Each book is at least 175 pages long. Granted, there are pictures on every page, but they aren't wimpy books. I couldn't believe how much he had read. I guess he really does like those books. Too bad, there are only 8. Now we have to find him something else to read.

How's this for funny and slightly ironic? The very day I read this post we made a visit to the library. Without any input from me, Braden chose 4 Captain Underpants books to check out. The baby was crying and he woke up early this morning, and he had the first one read before breakfast!
